Winter Jam West Welcomes Special Guest Rick Warren

November 18, 2017

Kicking-off its nine-city Western U.S. run last week at Ontario’s Citizens Business Bank Arena near Los Angeles, the blockbuster Winter Jam Tour Spectacular welcomed special guest internationally-renowned pastor and New York Times bestselling author Rick Warren to the stage. Author of The Purpose Driven Life, Warren shared a message of encouragement with Winter Jam attendees on the tour’s opening night.

GRAMMY®, Dove, Billboard Music Award and BET Award-winning hip-hop trailblazer Lecrae leads the lineup for this year’s Winter Jam West. The tour also features GRAMMY® and American Music Award-winning Third Day frontman Mac Powell; best-selling hip-hop recording artist Andy Mineo; GRAMMY®-nominated chart-toppers Building 429; fan favorite rockers Family Force 5; GRAMMY®-nominated Winter Jam founders and hosts NewSong; acclaimed singer/songwriter Moriah Peters presenting TRALA; and evangelist Nick Hall. The West Coast Pre-Jam Party showcases Dan Bremnes, Mallary Hope and Westover.

Presented by Holt International, Winter Jam West is also slated to hit the Maverik Center in Salt Lake City; Portland, Oregon’s Moda Center; and the Taco Bell Arena in Boise, Idaho, among other cities, before concluding November 19 at the Spokane Arena in Spokane, Washington.

Winter Jam West is produced by Premier Productions and sponsored in part by Samaritan Ministries, Liberty University, Together (PULSE), LifeBook, Premier Christian Cruises, Xtreme Conferences, Camp Electric, Texas TransEastern and Wayne E. Bailey Produce.

Created and hosted by one of Christian music’s most beloved bands, NewSong, Winter Jam exploded from a single show in 1995 to become Christian music’s benchmark tour. Throughout two decades, Winter Jam has helped provide a powerful platform for the Gospel in major arenas nationwide, consistently showcasing the genre’s top artists.

I think I was born with a pair of headphones attached to my head!

I have always loved radio and was introduced to Contemporary Christian Music when I was a lowly freshman in high school, way back in 1977! "Praise the Lord" by The Imperials, "Your Love Broke Through" by Keith Green and others were the first songs I heard and played over and over again!
