Independent Christian band We The Least has officially released its highly anticipated new album, Indigo, available now on all major streaming platforms. Released on June 12, 2026, the 8-song project invites listeners into a place of deep spiritual reflection, encouraging a greater love for Jesus Christ and a deeper understanding of His sovereignty over all things.
Produced by Nathaniel Dulski and written and recorded over a 2-year period, Indigo represents the band’s most focused and theologically rich work to date. The album’s title draws from the color indigo, symbolizing deep thought and reflection — the very place from which each song was born.
“The theme that shapes this album is the sovereignty and supremacy of God over all things,” says the band. “Every song was written from a place of reflection on the infinite beauty of Christ.”
A standout track from the project, “Die On This Hill,” serves as the album’s focus single. The song centers on unwavering allegiance to Christ and boldly declares the believer’s commitment to stand firm in the gospel – in life and in death. Interestingly enough, “Die On This Hill,” “You See Jesus,” and “One More Sinner” all feature lyrical callbacks to the beloved hymn “The Old Rugged Cross,” connecting timeless truths of the faith with a fresh contemporary sound.
“This album is a reminder that knowing and trusting in Christ is far more valuable than anything else,” the band shares. “We hope it encourages listeners to enjoy Jesus and to share His love with others, even in the midst of difficult circumstances”
The release has already generated momentum, earning numerous playlist placements during its first few weeks of launch. Fans can also look forward to an upcoming music video for the song “Even There,” which is currently in development.
Originally formed in Mendota, Illinois, in 2019, We The Least is now based in Nashville, Tennessee. The group consists of Michaela DeLong (vocals/keys), Nathanael DeLong (vocals/guitar), and Noah DeLong (drums). Over the years, the band has performed on radio broadcasts and major festival stages, including Lifest in Oshkosh, Wisconsin, and has shared stages with artists such as Leanna Crawford, Ryan Stevenson, 7eventh Time Down, and Anne Wilson.
In 2022, CMUnited recognized We The Least as the 19th Annual Christian Songwriter of the Year for their award-winning song “Made You Too.” Since then, the band’s music has continued to encourage listeners around the world with messages of hope and confidence in God alone.
The band’s name is inspired by John 3:30, which states, “He must become greater; I must become less.” That mission remains at the heart of Indigo, a collection of songs designed to point listeners beyond themselves and toward the surpassing worth of Jesus Christ.
INDIGO IS AVAILABLE NOW ON ALL MAJOR STREAMING PLATFORMS.
