Sara Groves Announces New Christmas Album Presale To Begin October 1st

September 28, 2019

Singer / Songwriter Sara Groves has been actively creating and releasing music to fans via her Patreon, but this week she officially announced her next project, a Christmas album titled Joy of Every Longing Heart, which will begin pre-sales next Tuesday, October 1st.

About the album, Groves wrote:

Merry Christmas, friends! 😉
We have an exciting announcement that you may have already see on social media…

In June we started working on this bookend to O Holy Night…
Joy of Every Longing Heart

The title of the new record came as a suggestion from a Patreon supporter, Allison Rich, and is the last line of the song Come Thou Long Expected Jesus. I think the words joy and longing together portray a true human reality about Christmas, and even more broadly, a life of faith. There is in this one story so much joy, loneliness, fear, provision – the miraculous and the mundane. There is always more to say about it, and I hope you enjoy this retelling.

Note: I know some of you have rules about when you listen to Christmas music (Troy), and you have to know that we did talk about the absurdity of bringing you Christmas music in October (the 1st even!), but when you have a new record coming out near November, you have to start the pre-sale in October. So feel free to NOT listen until your tradition allows.

Produced by John Mark Nelson
With Aaron Fabbrini, Zach Miller & Tyler Burkum. Recorded at Art House North.
Cover Art by Alec Gilbertson of Foreword

Presale begins Tuesday, October 1st!

Peace and grace,
Sara

I think I was born with a pair of headphones attached to my head!

I have always loved radio and was introduced to Contemporary Christian Music when I was a lowly freshman in high school, way back in 1977! "Praise the Lord" by The Imperials, "Your Love Broke Through" by Keith Green and others were the first songs I heard and played over and over again!
