Today, Sanctus Real releases a brand new single, “The War I’m In,” available now on streaming platforms.
About the single, the band writes, “‘The War I’m In’ was written from a place of deep sadness, the reality that bitterness can never lead to wholeness, and sadly there will forever be a part of me that knows I failed. And yet, it is also a song of hope, because every day is an opportunity to lay down this selfishness that leads to so much hurt. We want this song to reach people at a deep level. This is not a rah-rah anthem; this is a deep message to a people who are called to deep things, and this is something that every one of us is fighting. Who are we gonna let have control? To live is Christ, to die is gain. To lay down our lives is the most Christlike thing we can do, yet it is so hard to do. That is now and forever going to be ‘The War I’m In.’
