Pat Barrett Releases New Album “I’ve Got A Fire”

October 6, 2025

GRAMMY®-nominated artist Pat Barrett releases his fourth studio album today, I’ve Got A Fire (Bowyer & Bow / CCMG)—the brand-new, 11-track project is available now on all platforms. Listen to I’ve Got A Fire now.
With today’s release, Barrett ventures into new creative territory, blending vivid visuals and soundscapes that are at once lively, playful, deeply moving, and reflective. For him, this project has been a personal challenge. “I’m about to say something that may sound strange, but I’ve spent a lot of my life doing the same thing.” Pat Barrett shares. “For me, these have been the songs that have challenged, encouraged, and moved me along in my faith.”
I’ve Got A Fire showcases a wide range of songs that reflect both joy and depth. Leading up to today’s album, he has released three songs that showcase the album’s dynamic variety. The first single, “Praise The Lord Forever,” was inspired by Psalm 103:1, a track that carries the warmth and familiarity of a Sunday morning. The title cut, “I’ve Got A Fire,” pulses with an unmistakable ’80s rock energy, brought to life in a vibrant music video featuring Barrett’s own father, whose charismatic spirit embodies the song’s theme of unshakable joy in eternal things. On the more intimate side, Barrett released “Hard Part Of A Dream,” a raw and inspiring ballad he calls his most personal work to date. With honesty and hope, it explores the courage required to pursue the dreams planted in our hearts, acknowledging that while envisioning them comes easily, the real challenge lies in the perseverance to see them through.
This fall and into 2026, Barrett will bring the new songs from I’ve Got A Fire to live audiences as part of Brandon Lake’s “King of Hearts Tour.” Kicked off this week, the extensive arena tour spans 50 dates before wrapping up on May 2, 2026, in Charleston, South Carolina.

I think I was born with a pair of headphones attached to my head!

I have always loved radio and was introduced to Contemporary Christian Music when I was a lowly freshman in high school, way back in 1977! "Praise the Lord" by The Imperials, "Your Love Broke Through" by Keith Green and others were the first songs I heard and played over and over again!
