Pat Barrett Announces New Album, “Break Open,” Releasing March 13

February 3, 2026

On the heels of his new studio album, GRAMMY®-nominated artist Pat Barrett has released a live-recorded version of his single, “I’ve Got A Fire.” The track marks Barrett’s fastest song to reach 1M streams on Spotify and was captured during Big Church Day Out in August 2025 in the UK.
Barrett also announced his upcoming live album, Break Open, which releases on March 13. Listen to “I’ve Got A Fire” here, and pre-save/pre-add Break Open here.
“When we were in the studio making the I’ve Got A Fire album, I had one constant thought: ‘I can’t wait to sing these songs in a room with other people,’” shares Pat Barrett. “There were a few things I knew for sure. I knew these songs were incredibly meaningful to me. I even knew that there was a specific place where I was looking forward to singing them. I didn’t know it would become one of my favorite musical memories. This Break Open project is what happened when I was finally able to sing this album live with people for the very first time.”
His latest studio album, I’ve Got A Fire, showcases a wide range of songs that reflect both joy and depth—and now, in a live setting, these 11 tracks take on a new energy.
This spring, Barrett will continue on Brandon Lake’s “King of Hearts Tour.” The extensive arena run spans 50 dates, kicking off last year and concluding May 2, 2026, in Charleston, South Carolina. I think I was born with a pair of headphones attached to my head!

I have always loved radio and was introduced to Contemporary Christian Music when I was a lowly freshman in high school, way back in 1977! "Praise the Lord" by The Imperials, "Your Love Broke Through" by Keith Green and others were the first songs I heard and played over and over again!
