NF’s “FEAR” EP Debuts at No. 1 on Billboard’s Top Rap Albums

November 25, 2025

Multi-Platinum rapper/producer NF scores his fifth No. 1 debut on Billboard’s Top Rap Albums chart and his fourth No. 1 debut on Billboard’s Top Album Sales chart with his new EP, FEAR (NF Real Music LLC / Capitol Music Group). The six-song release also marks the largest rap EP debut of 2025. Download / stream FEAR HERE.

FEAR debuted at No. 4 on the Billboard 200 with 76K equivalent album units in the first week (48k sales, 36.76M on-demand streams). In fact, the EP is one of only six Urban/Hip Hop genre releases that debuted in the Top 10 of the Billboard 200 this year with more than 45,000 in pure album sales, putting NF in the company of The Weeknd, Travis Scott, Tyler, The Creator, Cardi B and Lil Baby. With an average of 6.1 million first-week streams per track, FEAR surpasses Travis Scott’s Jackboys 2 album (5.4 million streams per track) and Cardi B’s Am I The Drama (6 million streams per track). Internationally, FEAR entered the top 10 of the album charts in Austria, Germany, Scotland, Netherlands and Belgium.

All six of the EP’s songs debuted in the top 60 on Spotify’s Daily Top Songs USA chart, with “FEAR” and “WHO I WAS” appearing in the top 10. Two official videos were released alongside the EP. “FEAR” peaked at #1 on YouTube US Trending chart and “WASHED UP” peaked at #3. Over a week after release, “FEAR” is trending at #3 and “WASHED UP” is at #12.

Over the course of chart-topping albums like Perception, The Search and HOPE, NF has taken fans on a compelling personal journey, exploring life’s most primal emotions. That odyssey continues with FEAR. Throughout the roll-out of the EP, fans have taken note of how the imagery often hearkens back to earlier songs, albums and videos. The EP’s cover is a striking image of a stately structure set aflame, calling to mind the cover of 2015’s Mansion. In the two weeks leading up to the release of FEAR, combined views of the teasers surpassed 22 million.

FEAR marks the first new music from NF since the April 2023 release of HOPE, which entered Billboard’s Top Album Sales, Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums and Top Rap Albums charts at No. 1 and took the No. 2 spot on the Billboard 200. In 2023 and 2024, NF played to sold-out arena crowds around the globe on the HOPE TOUR.

I think I was born with a pair of headphones attached to my head!

I have always loved radio and was introduced to Contemporary Christian Music when I was a lowly freshman in high school, way back in 1977! "Praise the Lord" by The Imperials, "Your Love Broke Through" by Keith Green and others were the first songs I heard and played over and over again!
