Lecrae Announces The Heartland Tour with Switchfoot

Two-Time Grammy® Award-Winning Hip-Hop Artist LECRAE is headlining THE HEARTLAND TOUR with Grammy® Award-Winning Alternative Rock Band SWITCHFOOT in June, accompanied by a surprise special guest. The string of dates kicks off June 10 in Omaha, NE. and weaves through the central U.S. to the northwest, wrapping June 19 in Spokane, WA. Tickets for The Heartland Tour go on sale starting Friday, April 1.

The Heartland Tour makes stops in Omaha, Neb., Fargo-Moorhead, Minn., Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Salt Lake City, Nampa, Idaho, Wenatchee, Wash., Kent, Wash., Central Point, Ore., and Spokane, Wash.

LECRAE continues to score big on the charts and in the industry. The influential rapper and hit-maker has sold 1.9 million albums to date. His 2014 release, Anomaly, broke industry records by selling 88,000 copies the first week and debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Top 200 Album Chart. Anomaly also landed at No. 1 on four other Billboard charts that week including Top Digital Album and Top Rap Album charts. Church Clothes 3, released unannounced online January 15, is the third mixtape by LECRAE. It debuted at No. 12 on the Billboard Top 200 and No. 1 on several other Billboard charts including Top Independent Album and Rap Album charts. This year, with three Grammy® Award nomination nods to his credit, he earned his second Grammy® Award.

LECRAE has been praised by mainstream and hip-hop press alike with features in publications such as Time Magazine, Entertainment Weekly, XXL, Essence Magazine, Billboard and Vibe Magazine. Radio personality and MTV News Executive Producer Sway Calloway proclaimed LECRAE’s music as the “Evolution of Hip-Hop.” He’s performed on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, Good Morning America, BET Network’s Hip Hop Awards, and many others, and has a global social media reach of nearly 100 million. LECRAE’s new book “Unashamed” releases May 3.

SWITCHFOOT has sold 5.7 million copies worldwide of their nine studio albums (including their 2003 double-platinum breakthrough The Beautiful Letdown and 2009’s Grammy Award-winning Hello Hurricane), racked up a string of Alternative radio hit singles, performed sold-out world tours with over 4 million concert tickets worldwide, raised over $1 million dollars to aid kids in their community through their own BRO-AM Foundation, and earned themselves a global fan base devoted to SWITCHFOOT’s emotionally intelligent and uplifting brand of alternative rock. SWITCHFOOT will be releasing their 10th album this summer.

I have always loved radio and was introduced to Contemporary Christian Music when I was a lowly freshman in high school, way back in 1977! "Praise the Lord" by The Imperials, "Your Love Broke Through" by Keith Green and others were the first songs I heard and played over and over again!
