John Schlitt to Perform at Legends 2022 Concert

May 14, 2022

Grammy and Dove Award-winning recording artist and Gospel Music Association Hall of Fame member John Schlitt will share the stage with some of Contemporary Christian Music’s pioneers during the Legends 2022 Concert this weekend.

Presented by Chrisagis Brothers Ministries & Productions, the concert will be hosted at Harbor of Hope Assembly of God, located at 67667 Warnock Road, St Clairsville, Ohio, beginning at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday, May 14, 2022.

Schlitt will perform alongside such beloved artists as Scott Wesley Brown, Leon Patillo (former lead singer of Santana), Jayne Ferrell (of Ferrell and Ferrell), Dave Boyer, Steve Camp, Terry Tripp, The Chrisagis Brother, and the 17-piece Trinity Jazz Orchestra.

Tickets are $25 in advance (call 740-859-2344 or 304-650-0425) or $30 at the door.

“I’m excited to be with my good friends, The Chrisagis Brothers!” says Schlitt. “I’ve had the privilege of being part of their productions in the past. They have been both professional and enjoyable, not only for the audience, but for the artists, as well. I’m looking forward to being part of their newest adventure!”

Schlitt will perform songs from GO, his first full-length solo album of original material in seven years. GO has proven to be well worth the wait for fans of the man who has been called the best rock singer in Christian music history.

GO met with immediate critical acclaim upon its release the week before the 2020 Covid 19 pandemic lockdown in the U.S.

The album was tapped in pre-release as a Top 10 Album of 2019 by Classic Christian Rock Magazine, which extolled the project’s sweet melodies, direct lyrics, and Schlitt’s seemingly ageless vocal prowess.
Fans can stream the project on multiple platforms, including Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube, Tidal, Amazon Music, Pandora and others.

I think I was born with a pair of headphones attached to my head!

I have always loved radio and was introduced to Contemporary Christian Music when I was a lowly freshman in high school, way back in 1977! "Praise the Lord" by The Imperials, "Your Love Broke Through" by Keith Green and others were the first songs I heard and played over and over again!
