Jenn Johnson To Release Debut Solo Album “Happy” May 22

March 18, 2026

GRAMMY-nominated singer/songwriter Jenn Johnson will release her debut solo album, HAPPY, on May 22. The 12-track project is available for fans to pre-order here and pre-save here, ahead of the upcoming release. The album arrives on the heels of her two previously released singles, “Here In Your Arms” feat. Brian Johnson and “Walk With Me” feat. Tiffany Hudson – marking a new chapter for the Bethel Music artist, songwriter and worship leader.

Says Johnson, “My new album, HAPPY, is a mosaic – a walk through my life. A mosaic is made from broken pieces that come together to create something beautiful. In many ways, that’s what life looks like. Moments of joy, moments of heartbreak, seasons of growing, and seasons of healing. But through it all, God is present. This album is both a testimony and a promise that no matter what we walk through, God is always putting the pieces together and making something beautiful.”

HAPPY combines authentic worship, country warmth and pop influences into a sound that feels both deeply personal and widely accessible. Featuring guest appearances from Abbie Gamboa, Tiffany Hudson and Brooke Ligertwood, among others, the album reflects a deep need for God, a longing to know Him more fully, and the joy found in walking with Him each day.

Blending songs that are both intimate and worshipful, HAPPY offers a soundtrack for Sunday mornings and everyday life alike – a reminder that true happiness is found in His presence.

The project’s debut single, “Here In Your Arms,” was written and recorded with Johnson’s husband, Brian, as a country inspired song offering an intimate, understated reflection on enduring love. Her most recent single, “Walk With Me,” featuring Tiffany Hudson of the multi-Platinum-certified group Elevation Worship, serves as a powerful introduction to the heart of HAPPY. The song reminds listeners that even in the midst of disappointment, unanswered questions and the mysteries of life, we are never alone.

Known for her powerful, emotive vocals and heartfelt songwriting, Johnson continues to shape the sound of modern worship. As co-founder and president of Bethel Music, she has co-written global worship anthems including “Goodness of God,” “The Blood,” and “Holy Forever,” the latter earning a 2025 GRAMMY nomination for “Best Contemporary Christian Music Performance/Song” in a version featuring CeCe Winans. With contributions as a writer and vocalist on 18 Bethel Music albums, Johnson remains one of the most influential voices in contemporary worship music.

I think I was born with a pair of headphones attached to my head!

I have always loved radio and was introduced to Contemporary Christian Music when I was a lowly freshman in high school, way back in 1977! "Praise the Lord" by The Imperials, "Your Love Broke Through" by Keith Green and others were the first songs I heard and played over and over again!
