Jekalyn Carr Releases Her Highly Anticipated Self-Titled Sixth Career Album, JEKALYN

October 22, 2023

GRAMMY® nominated and Stellar Award-winning Jekalyn Carr releases her new self-titled album, JEKALYN, today via WayNorth Music. JEKALYN is preceded by the Billboard Gospel National Airplay #1 single, “I Believe God,” and is available now wherever music is sold and streamed. “I Believe God,” marks Carr’s seventh career #1 on both Billboard and Mediabase radio charts.

JEKALYN is full of inspiration, faith-filled messages, encouragement, and empowerment with each lyric bringing excitement, freedom, and restoration into the listeners’ atmosphere. Jekalyn Carr delivers a timeless album that shows maturity and defines the elevation of her faith that has inspired people for years and will continue for years to come. JEKALYN marks Carr’s first full-length release in four years and features outstanding collaborations with Tauren Wells, Kierra Sheard, Papa San, Tim Bowman Jr., Kirk Franklin, Pastor Mike Jr., Mike Teezy, Tasha Cobbs Leonard, Blanca, and Elevation Rhythm.

“I pray that listeners of this project find hope and understanding in whatever trials and tribulations they are currently facing,” shares Jekalyn Carr.
Earlier this year, Carr starred in the Universal Pictures’ Will Packer-produced film, PRAISE THIS, as “KiKi.” She received rave reviews for providing comic relief in her portrayal as the ghetto-fabulous choir member. Carr continues to expand her brand with offerings under her all-new JEKALYN BEAUTY collection. She can also be heard during the midday on Radio One’s Atlanta affiliate Praise 102.5 as the host of her radio show “Jekalyn Carr Family Affair Show” which airs Monday-Friday 10am-3pm EST.

I think I was born with a pair of headphones attached to my head!

I have always loved radio and was introduced to Contemporary Christian Music when I was a lowly freshman in high school, way back in 1977! "Praise the Lord" by The Imperials, "Your Love Broke Through" by Keith Green and others were the first songs I heard and played over and over again!
