Jamie MacDonald Celebrates Dominating Debut

February 17, 2026

Capitol Christian Music Group artist Jamie MacDonald is celebrating a landmark moment as her self-titled debut album, ‘Jamie MacDonald,’ launches with historic chart, streaming, and radio achievements.

Chart Topping Success:

The album debuts at No. 1 on the Luminate Top Christian/Gospel Albums chart and No. 3 on Billboard’s Top Christian Albums chart, marking one of the strongest debut weeks in the genre. The project also delivered the biggest debut album streaming launch for a female artist in Christian music and the biggest debut album streaming launch in Capitol Christian Music Group history.

Radio Success:

At radio, MacDonald’s single “Left It In The River” had a dominating run, holding the No. 1 spot for 10 consecutive weeks across major radio formats including the Billboard Christian AC, Mediabase Christian AC, and Mediabase Activator Christian AC charts. The milestone extends her own record following “Desperate,” which previously led for seven consecutive weeks.

Crushing Records:

In just one year, Jamie MacDonald has emerged as one of music’s most compelling voices. She made history with the most stations ever playing a debut single on impact date at Christian radio and has since earned two consecutive No. 1 singles, surpassing 150 million global streams.

Accolades:

She was selected for both Spotify’s 2026 Artists To Watch and Amazon Music’s 2026 Artists To Watch programs, along with three K-LOVE Fan Award nominations and one Dove Award nomination, including a Song of the Year nod. A reimagined version of “Desperate” featuring GRAMMY® winner Lauren Daigle continues to expand her reach to new audiences.

She will also join Phil Wickham and Tauren Wells on tour this spring.

I think I was born with a pair of headphones attached to my head!

I have always loved radio and was introduced to Contemporary Christian Music when I was a lowly freshman in high school, way back in 1977! "Praise the Lord" by The Imperials, "Your Love Broke Through" by Keith Green and others were the first songs I heard and played over and over again!
