Forrest Frank Teams with Crowder on “The Rock”

August 26, 2025

GRAMMY-nominated, award-winning artist FORREST FRANK continues to crank out the new tunes, today releasing “THE ROCK” with CROWDER.
Similar to his “LEMONADE” collab with THE FIGS, “THE ROCK” began after Crowder tagged him in a social post after breaking his leg. During their instagram conversation, Frank said to Crowder “you might not be able to stand, but you can stand on the Rock.” That moment inspired their new single.
“I was super bummed when my leg broke — it was uncomfortable and inconvenient, for sure,” Crowder remarked. “But I was aware of what had transpired with Forrest’s back and the miraculous turn around he had seen and the wake of music and prayer that was coming from what seemed to be a set back. I think that’s one of the most beautiful things about the church — when you see God active and reliable in someone else’s experience, you believe it is possible for you. I was so thankful that Forrest let us in on his difficulty because instead of frustration or worry I immediately had a sense of expectation — like, okay God, what are You up to? Whatever it is, I’m here for it. That no matter what — whether my leg is healed miraculously, or if it’s a long and arduous recovery, whatever comes — my hope and my satisfaction and my joy is in the eternal Rock of Ages. That’s what I’m standing on. Not my circumstances.”
“THE ROCK” follows back-to-back viral singles “SELAH” (3.1 MILLION global streams), “GOD’S GOT MY BACK,” (over 25K Reels UGC/10K TikTok UGC/over 10.8 MILLION Streams), and “LEMONADE” (60.4K Reels/30K TikTok UGC/over 8 MILLION streams).
Each of the new songs were inspired by a serious skateboarding injury that resulted in multiple back fractures, but ultimate quick healing, which Frank has extensively shared with fans on socials.
At radio, Frank currently has logged his second Top 5 single on the Mediabase and Billboard Christian radio charts with “YOUR WAY’S BETTER” at #4 Mediabase Christian Audience and #4 on Billboard Christian AC with 96 stations on the song. “NOTHING ELSE” featuring Thomas Rhett currently sits at #29 at Billboard Christian Airplay and #27 at Billboard Christian AC. The song is also #28 this week at Mediabase Christian AC with 40 total stations on. Meanwhile, his new collab with The Figs, “LEMONADE” has already been added to 16 stations in two weeks with multiple outlets putting the song straight into heavy rotation. Frank’s weekly radio airplay impressions have risen from 7.3M in April ’25 to 15.3M as of August 21, 2025.
While he’s seen his monthly YouTube Music listeners surpass even DRAKE, Frank also recently received seven GMA Dove Award nominations, including Artist of the Year and Songwriter of the Year. Tracks “GOOD DAY” and “UP!” were both nominated for Song of the Year, with the CHILD OF GOD album and “YOUR WAY’S BETTER” viral hit also receiving nominations for Pop/Contemporary Album of the Year and Pop/Contemporary Song of the Year, respectively. Frank also garnered a nod in the Rap/Hip Hop Recorded Song of the Year category for “HEAVEN ON THIS EARTH (feat. Torey D’Shaun).”

I think I was born with a pair of headphones attached to my head!

I have always loved radio and was introduced to Contemporary Christian Music when I was a lowly freshman in high school, way back in 1977! "Praise the Lord" by The Imperials, "Your Love Broke Through" by Keith Green and others were the first songs I heard and played over and over again!
