Childlike CiCi Makes Her Capitol Christian Music Group Debut with New Single

June 9, 2024

Hip hop artist Childlike CiCi is the latest breakout rapper to join Capitol Christian Music Group and today, the Brooklyn, NY native is revealing her debut single, “Rest of My Life.” This captivating summer anthem is poised to make waves with its heartfelt testimony and resonant message of devotion to God’s unwavering loyalty.

Written by CiCi and produced by Alexandria Dollar and Jeffrey (Juberlee) Shannon, the track features guest vocals by Alexandria and Jordan Dollar. “Rest of My Life” encapsulates CiCi’s personal journey and her heartfelt desire to live a life devoted to faith. With its compelling lyrics and uplifting rhythm, the single aims to connect deeply with listeners who have shared similar life experiences and spiritual paths.

Childlike CiCi has been making a significant impact in the music world since releasing her first single, “Souls,” in March 2022. This marked the beginning of her self-titled “Christian rap ministry,” which has since engaged a growing audience of over eight hundred thousand combined social media followers and over 19 million views across social media and streaming platforms.

Although music has always been a passion for CiCi, it wasn’t until her senior year in high school that she began sharing her talents publicly. Initially finding success in secular music spaces, she garnered attention from several artists, labels, and teams. However, in 2019, a pivotal moment in her life led her to surrender to Christ, prompting a three-year hiatus to strengthen her relationship with God. Upon her return, CiCi’s focus shifted to redefining what it means to follow God, breaking free from cultural and religious limitations, and spreading her message through music.

Childlike CiCi is no stranger to the spotlight. Her recent support on KB’s Glory Nights Tour in the Spring of 2024 further showcased her dynamic performance ability. CiCi’s music, characterized by its powerful flow and lyrical prowess, rivals even the hottest secular rappers, making her a force to be reckoned with.

I think I was born with a pair of headphones attached to my head!

I have always loved radio and was introduced to Contemporary Christian Music when I was a lowly freshman in high school, way back in 1977! "Praise the Lord" by The Imperials, "Your Love Broke Through" by Keith Green and others were the first songs I heard and played over and over again!
