CDX Records Signs 16-Year-Old Rising Star Josie Birdsong to Distribution Deal with Sony Orchard

October 29, 2025

CDX Records is proud to announce the signing of 16-year-old country singer-songwriter Josie Birdsong to a worldwide distribution agreement through Sony Orchard. The dynamic young artist joins the CDX Records roster as one of country music’s most promising new voices.

Josie’s signing marks the beginning of an exciting new chapter for both the artist and the label. Known for her natural storytelling ability and soulful vocal tone beyond her years, Josie brings a refreshing authenticity to the genre that has already captured the attention of industry insiders and fans alike.

“We’re thrilled to welcome Josie to the CDX family,” said Joe Kelly, President of CDX Records. “She embodies everything that’s great about the next generation of country music — talent, heart, and a deep respect for the craft. With Sony Orchard as our distribution partner, we’re setting the stage for a major breakout moment.”

Josie is currently in the studio recording her debut project under the guidance of the CDX creative and production team. The sessions are taking place in Nashville, with new music planned for release in 2026.

“I’m so grateful to be working with CDX Records and Sony Orchard,” said Josie Birdsong. “Making music has been my dream since I was little, and now it’s really happening. I can’t wait for everyone to hear what we’re creating.”

CDX Records continues to expand its artist development platform with a focus on nurturing exceptional talent and providing world-class distribution and promotion through its partnership with Sony Orchard.

I think I was born with a pair of headphones attached to my head!

I have always loved radio and was introduced to Contemporary Christian Music when I was a lowly freshman in high school, way back in 1977! "Praise the Lord" by The Imperials, "Your Love Broke Through" by Keith Green and others were the first songs I heard and played over and over again!
