Casting Crowns’ New Album Releases Via YouTube Live Event

November 17, 2018

Today, the GRAMMY-winning band Casting Crowns released their new studio album, Only Jesus, available everywhere. Click here to listen now.

Celebrating their new album, Casting Crowns will be premiering the music video for the album’s title track using YouTube’s new video premiere feature. Fans will be invited into an interactive experience where they will be able to watch the video together while Casting Crowns facilitates a live chat. Immediately following the video, the band will transition to a YouTube Live video where they will answer questions from fans and perform an acoustic version of “Only Jesus”. The video will premiere at 3 pm ET, click here to visit the watch page for the video.

When discussing the band’s latest project, Only Jesus, Casting Crowns’ front man Mark Hall takes great pains to shift the focus off of the band, off of himself, and solely onto the one they sing about—Jesus.

“There’s much talk these days about legacy,” shares Hall about the new album. “How do we want to be remembered? The more I think about it the more I’m reminded that anything in me that’s worth remembering are the things that Jesus has worked on, and is still working on in me. On my own I have nothing to offer the world, but Jesus does – so don’t mind me. Jesus is the only name to remember.”

This new album features the single, “Only Jesus,” which is one of the fastest-charting songs of 2018 and already a Top 10 hit. “Only Jesus” gives Casting Crowns their 26th Top 10 song on the Hot Christian Songs chart, the most by any group. This week the band also announced their “Only Jesus” Tour, a 37-city spring arena tour presented by Compassion International featuring fellow Grammy winner Zach Williams and Austin French. I think I was born with a pair of headphones attached to my head!

I have always loved radio and was introduced to Contemporary Christian Music when I was a lowly freshman in high school, way back in 1977! "Praise the Lord" by The Imperials, "Your Love Broke Through" by Keith Green and others were the first songs I heard and played over and over again!
