PFR Launch GoFundMe Campaign in Support of New Studio Album!

May 5, 2024

Minnesota pop rock trio PFR were staples in Christian music in the 90s, but disbanded later in the decade at the height of their career. The band united a few years later for an album on Steve Taylor’s Squint Entertainment label, and then disappeared once again. (No pun intended) Last year, the guys reunited again for a show in Nashville and have been busy working on new music together ever since. With 15 new songs ready for recording, the guys have launched a GoFundMe campaign, asking fans to help them get a new album – titled Target and the Arrow – made.
Visit their GoFundMe campaign page here: https://gofund.me/320f29f8

On their official Instagram page, @pfr_band_official, the band writes:

“Hey friends. We have written a new record, our first in over 20 years & it will be called Target and the Arrow.

There isn’t enough space here to truly express how incredible this process has been between the 3 of us so far but now it’s time to get you all involved.

To be able to make this record up to the quality of our past work, we’re gonna need your help to join us & be a crucial part of our story this time around.

Our GoFundMe link to contribute to help cover the costs of recording is above in our bio.

Here’s some info we can pass on as it stands.

+We will be reuniting with our longtime producer Jimmie Lee Sloas to help us make the record. We couldn’t do it without him.

+Joining us in the process will be our dear friend & hero Gordon Kennedy.

+We have about 15 songs written, a first for us PFR’s. We typically army crawled into each record with 7-8 tunes.

+We would love to start tracking in September/October in Nashville. We’ve pulled together an epic team of engineers, studios & others who are committed & ready to go!

+We also have some really exciting guest appearances lined up that we are incredibly stoked about.

Please consider jumping on this little bandwagon & help get what we think might be our best record out into the world.

We are working on ways to offer glimpses into the process as we go along to all those that donate.

Much Love,

@pfrist @patreefrog1971 @mark_andrew_nash

Ps
Don’t hesitate to hit us up here or through the GoFundMe page with any questions you have. We’ll do our best to respond in a timely manner.”

I think I was born with a pair of headphones attached to my head!

I have always loved radio and was introduced to Contemporary Christian Music when I was a lowly freshman in high school, way back in 1977! "Praise the Lord" by The Imperials, "Your Love Broke Through" by Keith Green and others were the first songs I heard and played over and over again!
