Newsboys Release New Single with Adam Agee as Lead Vocalist, “How Many Times”

March 16, 2025

Acclaimed Christian band, Newsboys, are ushering in a new era with the release of “How Many Times (oh how You love me).” This marks the first song to feature Adam Agee on lead vocals since he officially stepped into the role following Michael Tait’s departure in January. Written by Agee, Jordan Sapp, and Jonathan Gamble, the track is a heartfelt anthem of grace and redemption, blending powerful lyrics with a fresh sound. The song quickly climbed into the Top 25 on the Billboard Christian Airplay Chart. With 29 stations across the country currently spinning the track, the song’s powerful message and dynamic sound are resonating with audiences nationwide. Listen to “How Many Times (oh how You love me)” here.

The band shared, “This is a re-recorded version of the song that was released on Worldwide Revival Part One last summer. For months, we have been planning on this song being our next radio single. We recorded this new version with Adam’s vocal, not to erase the existing version of the song recorded by Tait, but rather to mark the beginning of a new and exciting season for our band.”

“How Many Times (oh how You love me)” powerful lyrics reflect on the depth of God’s love, while sonically, the track introduces a fresh sound. The track blends contemporary elements with the signature energy fans have come to know and love from Newsboys, making it a defining moment in this new chapter for the band.

“We’re so excited for everyone to hear ‘How Many Times (oh how You love me),” Adam Agee said. “This song is a message we all need to hear – it’s a reminder of God’s endless grace, no matter how many times we fall. It’s an anthem of hope that we’ve seen fans connecting with for a couple of months now at our live shows, so we’re excited to see the further impact that we hope it will have with fans.”

Alongside the release of their new single, Newsboys are currently in the midst of their Worldwide Revival Nights Tour, and will celebrate the new release at tonight’s tour stop in Jacksonville, Florida. In June, the group will embark on a long-awaited Canadian leg of the tour that includes stops in Calgary, Toronto and Winnipeg, among others.

The tour initially kicked off in 2024 following the release of their most recent album, Worldwide Revival Nights. The album’s first single, “Heaven on Earth,” made waves on the Billboard charts, breaking into the Top 40 on both the Adult Contemporary and Airplay Charts, all while the official music video performed 288% stronger than prior videos, racking up over 2.3 million views and counting. “How Many Times”, the album focus track on street-date, which was sent to Christian radio in January 2025, quickly surpassed Newsboys’ previous focus singles by nearly 172% within the same release timeframe.

I think I was born with a pair of headphones attached to my head!

I have always loved radio and was introduced to Contemporary Christian Music when I was a lowly freshman in high school, way back in 1977! "Praise the Lord" by The Imperials, "Your Love Broke Through" by Keith Green and others were the first songs I heard and played over and over again!
