Mac Powell Releases “Live from Red Rocks”

June 17, 2023

Today award-winning artist Mac Powell releases his live project captured from the legendary Red Rocks Amphitheatre, Live From Red Rocks. The seven-song album was recorded last August during the 2022 K-Love Presents Live At Red Rocks. Click here to listen to the live project.

“While I love making records, my favorite part of this job has always been touring and singing along with fans in person,” shares Mac Powell. “I’ve played Red Rocks four times throughout my career, but last year was the first time I performed at the historic venue as a solo artist AND I got to play with my daughter, son, and son-in-law. It was such a special night that I wanted to share it with everyone. I’m so excited for you to relive this special night with us at Red Rocks.”

Powell is the former frontman of THIRD DAY, the four-time GRAMMY® Award-winning band. His live album includes songs from his CCM solo debut New Creation, popular Third Day hits, and a surprise Fleetwood Mac cover. Along with the album releasing today, the live video of “God of Wonders” featuring Andrew Ripp also debuted today (linked below).

K-LOVE Presents Live at Red Rocks is also available on K-LOVE On Demand with “Red Rocks ’22 Finale” and a special series “Stepping Stones: The Path To Red Rocks ’22” that features a conversation between Powell and Cory Asbury along with performances from the special two-night concert.

Powell’s latest album, New Creation, has been a hit with listeners as it has more than 93 million global streams. The title track spent more than 19 weeks at the top of the CCM Radio charts, and his new radio song, “1991,” just went to radio and is climbing the charts. He also recently performed “New Creation” for the K-LOVE Fan Awards. Click here to see where Powell is performing next.

I think I was born with a pair of headphones attached to my head!

I have always loved radio and was introduced to Contemporary Christian Music when I was a lowly freshman in high school, way back in 1977! "Praise the Lord" by The Imperials, "Your Love Broke Through" by Keith Green and others were the first songs I heard and played over and over again!
