Daigle’s personal connection to Bonhoffer began when her grandfather challenged her to read his biography. The experience made a lasting impact on the singer in a deep and profound way. She shares, “When I was approached about joining the project, I immediately said ‘Yes!’. Bonhoeffer had unwavering faith, and his commitment to stand up for the vulnerable and speak truth in the face of evil is a challenge to everyone. Are we willing to die for our neighbor?”

“Lauren Daigle can break and heal a heart with a single note,” said writer and director Todd Komarnicki. “I am over every moon about this deeply soulful song.”

“Lauren Daigle crafted an everlasting anthemic ballad for Bonhoeffer with “Then I Will” and Angel Studios is so honored to have her artistry and talents as part of the film’s message,” exclaimed Ryan Svendsen, Angel Studios Head of Music.
Lauren Daigle is a two-time Grammy®, seven-time Billboard Music, four-time American Music, and twelve-time GMA Dove Music Award winner. Since the release of her GRAMMY® Award- winning, 2x platinum-certified 2018 album Look Up Child, which included the 6x platinum-certified hit “You Say,” Daigle has been a mainstay on the Billboard charts. When Look Up Child debuted at No. 3 on the Top 200 Albums chart, Daigle became the first female artist in history to simultaneously hit the Top 10 on both Billboard’s Pop and Christian Album charts. Her recent GRAMMY Nominated and Mike Elizondo-produced, 23-song, self-titled album’s debut single, “Thank God I Do,” gave Daigle her 6th Billboard No. 1 and was recently certified Gold. She’s garnered over a billion streams and wowed crowds for years with sold-out US and international tours. Daigle continues to cement her status as a modern vocal powerhouse with a huge global fanbase.

What we have here
Within our hearts
So much stronger than the dark
Why would we fear
When the light
Is so much greater than the night
If it’s for me to die for love, then I will
Then I will
If we just speak
Will we be heard?
Or is there silence
To our words?
If mercy moves
Why would we wait
Until the time comes
And it’s too late
If it’s for me to die for love
Then I will
Oh yes I will
Lord knows I will
I’ll surrender everything
All for your will
Abandon every part of me
All for your will
No matter what the cost will be
If it’s for me to die for love
If it’s for me to die for love
If it’s for me to die for love
Then I will
What we have here
Within our hearts
So much stronger than the dark
I will – Oh yes I will
I will move
I will stand strong
Help me believe it
Help me Jesus
If it’s for me to die for love
Then I will

I think I was born with a pair of headphones attached to my head!

I have always loved radio and was introduced to Contemporary Christian Music when I was a lowly freshman in high school, way back in 1977! "Praise the Lord" by The Imperials, "Your Love Broke Through" by Keith Green and others were the first songs I heard and played over and over again!
