Kayla Berry Announces New Album “Soar,” Coming On March 21

March 16, 2025

Breakout contemporary Christian artist Kayla Berry has revealed her new album Soar is set to release on March 21, 2025. Fans can pre-order the album starting today at www.kaylaberrymusic.com.

Known for her passionate worship and dynamic vocal ability, Berry has spent years ministering through music, blending Contemporary Christian and Gospel sounds to encourage believers in their faith. Soar marks her first full-length project in 15 nearly years and is a culmination of the singles she has released over the past 18 months including the acclaimed track “Run & Hide”, which Berry co-wrote with Grammy Award winners Mitch Wong and Aaron Lindsey along with Kennedy Lindsey.

Berry, currently the worship leader at New Covenant Church in Harrisville, MS, grew up singing in the church her father pastored and began leading worship at just 18 years old. She was honored with the 2019 Mississippi Gospel Music Award for “Women In Gospel, Making Things Happen” and gained national recognition in 2020 for her contribution to MultiEthnic Record Label’s Christmas Time Is Here Again EP with the song “Mary Did You Know.” Now, Berry is completely self-releasing Soar as an independent artist and stepping into a new season of her musical journey.

Speaking about the heart behind the album, Berry shares: “I pray that this EP brings listeners to a place of remembering that our relationship with Jesus Christ is not only meant to be holy and solemn, but also fun-loving and lighthearted. Being in a relationship with Him produces an abundance of love, joy, peace, excitement, and so much more. As you listen to these songs, my prayer is that you will find yourself in the presence of the most beautiful King of Glory where you can truly be set free.”

Produced by David Thulin (Rachael Lampa, Anthem Lights’ Spencer Kane), Berry collaborated with a variety of songwriters including Corey Voss, Aaron W. Lindsey and also features guest vocals by Grammy award-winning writer/artist Matt Redman. Soar promises to be a soul-stirring collection of worship songs that uplift and inspire. Fans can expect powerful lyrics, heartfelt melodies, and an undeniable presence of worship in every track.

I think I was born with a pair of headphones attached to my head!

I have always loved radio and was introduced to Contemporary Christian Music when I was a lowly freshman in high school, way back in 1977! "Praise the Lord" by The Imperials, "Your Love Broke Through" by Keith Green and others were the first songs I heard and played over and over again!
